the Women's Board

Formed in 1967, the Women’s Board of Dayton Children’s Hospital serves as a fundraising auxiliary board and also supports Dayton Children’s through volunteerism and outreach activities.

The Women’s Board’s biennial fundraiser, cha|cha, has raised more than $5 million for Dayton Children’s since the event’s inception, with a record-breaking year in 2024 raising $1.33 million. Today, the Board is composed of 40 community leaders whose mission is to improve the health, education and overall wellness of children in the community through direct support of Dayton Children’s Hospital.

The Women’s Board administers the HELP Fund, an ongoing program that supports various projects at Dayton Children’s, such as Superhero Day, the Eye Glasses Fund, and much more. Women’s Board members regularly volunteer with the hospital’s child life program, assisting patients with craft activities.

Their largest activity for the hospital is our biennial cha|cha event, which is dedicated to supporting pediatric mental health services for kids at Dayton Children’s. In 2026, they have committed to raise more than $1 million to support Child Life Services at Dayton Children’s.

The Women’s Board is open to new members by application and an annual selection. We would love to meet with you to discuss your interest in our organization! Please contact us for details.
