K99.1FM Raises $190,015 for Dayton Children’s Hospital

The 28th annual K99.1FM Cares for Kids Radiothon raised $190,015 for Dayton Children’s Hospital, bringing the total raised since the live event began to more than $6.33 million. The funds will support the hospital’s Canine Co-Pilot facility dog program.

“As we celebrate the conclusion of this year’s annual K99.1FM Cares for Kids Radiothon, we feel both proud and humbled to continue this longstanding initiative that benefits Dayton Children’s Hospital,” said Darren Moore, Vice President and General Manager of Cox Media Group Ohio. “Thanks to the incredible support from our listeners, over the past 28 years, we have raised over $6.33 million. This achievement demonstrates the best of what our community can accomplish together and reflects the Miami Valley’s relentless commitment to the health and well-being of our children.”

The radiothon, which began in 1997, is a partnership between K99.1FM, Dayton Children’s Hospital, and Children’s Miracle Network.

This community of support, for 28 years strong, has stepped up to ensure Dayton Children’s patients and families receive the best care possible in their time of need,” said Jena Pado, FAHP, CFRE, Vice President and Chief Development Officer at Dayton Children’s Hospital Foundation. “This year was no exception, raising the funding needed for our fully donor-supported Canine Co-Pilots program to help kids heal. How special to welcome a new facility dog to the program, knowing it was through the generous support of this community. We are deeply grateful for this year’s gift, along with years and years of support—raising more than $6.33 million since 1998!”

The 28th K99.1FM Cares for Kids Radiothon was presented by Joseph Airport Toyota Hyundai and Otterly Baths, with a special thank you to Ohio Renaissance Festival and Yuletide Village at Renaissance Park, Rooster’s Foundation, Furst Florist, Xenia Harley Davidson, Milano’s Pizza Subs and Taps, Brookhaven Retirement, Pickrel Schaeffer & Ebeling, IH Credit Union, and Once Upon A Child.
